Carnegie Mellon University, BS in Mechanical Engineering, Additional Major in Biomedical Engineering - Biomechanics Track
Aug 2021 - May 2025
GPA: 3.97/4.00 | Engineering Dean's List, all semesters
R&D Engineer (Temporary), Myra Vision - Campbell, CA
June 2025 - Aug 2025
Documented the ability of the Calibreye Titratable Glaucoma Therapy system to withstand migration forces in a test report submitted as part of company-wide IDE response by writing test method, designing fixtures with ophthalmologist feedback, qualifying fixtures, and performing Instron tensile testing and attribute analysis.
Characterized the conformability of the Calibreye shunt by developing a test method to determine the force required for shunt to conform under the bulbar conjunctiva, designing clinically and anatomically relevant fixtures in SOLIDWORKS, and performing Instron compression testing.
Performed GD&T analysis of nitinol components and ran nonlinear SOLIDWORKS simulations to investigate the impact of proposed dimensional spec changes on actuator movement.
Revised nitinol components in SOLIDWORKS to further minimize laser-pass through during titration.
R&D Intern, Myra Vision - Campbell, CA
May 2024 - Aug 2024
Performed microfluidics calculations and identified design constraints to create advanced development of the Calibreye in SOLIDWORKS.
Developed fixtures and performed suture eyelet failure testing to update drawing tolerances and meet an ANSI standard for ophthalmic implantable glaucoma devices.
Qualified the impact of physician aim and laser power on shape-memory nitinol actuator performance using DOE strategies and Minitab.
Teaching Assistant, Thermal Fluids Experimentation - Mechanical Engineering Department, Carnegie Mellon University
Jan 2025 - May 2025
